My first best thing I remember is making friends from all over.
My second best thing I remember is playing with different girls and having fun with them. My last best thing I remember is the great coaches who were always willing to help and always being together with the team and spending time together.
Also my sister and I are interested in the Thanksgiving tournament as well! Thank you Fred for all the memories that I got from this experience and memories that I will keep! I had a blast! Thanks!! Makenzie

Thank you Fred for a wonderful weekend in San Diego. We have memories to last a lifetime.

My most memorable moments are:
1. Winning the championship game,
2. The Soup Kitchen,
3. Playing at that high of a level. I had not played at that high of level ever before and even though I was hurt it was amazing.
Thank you so much and I would love to play with you any time, Ryann Ramirez

The three most memorable moments at the Nomads tournament were eating dinner at Chili’s with the my new friends on Friday night. The next most memorable moment was pulling pranks on Tasha, Lillie and Makenzie at the Mexican restaurant with Kiahna , Ryann, Aubrie, Andrea, and Jessica. My last most memorable moment was winning the championship. Thanks coach Fred I had a lot of fun!!!!!!!

Dear Coach Fred,
Though the whole trip was memorable, three very important and memorable
things happened. One of those things was meeting the Hawaii girls. I
liked meeting them because I got to learn more about them and I got to
make better friends with them off and on the soccer field. Another
thing memorable to me was when I made the winning goal on our first
game against the team from Arizona called Scottsdale Blackhawks. This
was memorable because if I didn’t make that goal then we may have not
been in the same place as we were. My last memorable moment was when
we won the whole tournament because it is a good feeling knowing that
you are better than teams from different states. It was also important
because we worked hard together and I think that it brought the team
closer to one another.

My three memories from the weekend were as follows: watching the girls get
to know one another and become a team over the weekend. It was fun to
watch them interact as if they knew each other for a long time. The
different groups really got along well together. I also enjoyed how
everyone supported the NSA expectations and made sure kids and adults
stayed together as much as possible throughout the weekend. In fact I
want that expectation followed as well this upcoming club season at our
tournaments. That is what made the trip as rewarding as it was, over and
above the soccer. Lastly, I enjoyed watching my daughter push herself to
new heights and work hard to play as instructed by the staff. The
learning of a different style, going up against very good u-12 girls at
trainings, and her attitude and effort during games was good to see. She
has really enjoyed the experience and is ready to do a tournament again.
The most important part was that the smile was always on Jessica’s face at
game’s end, and after trainings, and that is how it should be.

When I mentioned to Mikayla that you requested the girls send in their most memorable moments soon so “they wouldn’t forget”. She replied, “I could never forget.” I’d say that’d be one of my most memorable. Overall I saw Mikayla mature as a player and as a young woman over the past few days and I will never forget that.

Melissa put down for her memorable moments:

1. Meeting and playing with kids from all over
2. Winning the finals after a long battle
3. Coach Jose’s motivational speech to the team during the final, “Do you need a straw?” I thought it was really funny and helped break the tension of a tough match.

Jacquelyn (”Jacq”) said the best part about the weekend was saving 3 of 3 in the PK shootout and making her PK.
She enjoyed meeting Hoku (sp?) and has been text messaging with these new friends since the tournament.
She also said that going cart racing between the games on Sunday was a blast.
Thank you, Jennifer Walker (Jacq’s mom)

My most memorable moments of being on the NSA team for the Nomads tournament was 1) Winning the U12 Championship. Winning isn’t everything, but it was an awesome experience just being able to be champions. 2) It was fun making new friends. Now I email them like every day and we always tell each other we miss each other and everything! I’m going to miss them a lot but I loved the experiences of making new friends. 3) Being part of an NSA tradition and team filled with some of the awesomest players Iʼve had the privilege to play with!

Some of my most memorable experiences at Nomads are as follows: Observing a phenomenon of being part of a continuing NSA tradition of a bunch of girls from different parts of the country getting together to play the game they love. It has been a joy watching them get together and bond closely on and off the field in such a short period of time as if they knew each other forever. Another memorable experience is watching Lilz take on the task of playing defender and grow as a player. She normally plays striker/attacking mid and had only played defender once before but never as long as an entire tournament. Lastly, the most important memory is seeing a smile constantly on Lilz face, not to mention ALL of the girls’ faces. It was there regardless of an intense training session, a loss, a warmup, a game, and while hanging out with the coaches and newfound friends.

Thank you for a wonderful experience in San Diego! We hope to be a part of the NSA experience for years to come.

My memorable moments are getting to meet new friends who can really play soccer, going to the team dinner and talking with some of the U11 girls. Lastly, I will never forget the championship game which was so fun but made me really nervous. In the end I had a great time playing soccer - thank you!
Aubrie Ciesynski

The number one thing I remember about this trip is all of the new friends I made. Another thing I won’t forget is that no matter how different we were from each other we all came together and played as a team. The third thing I remember is sharing the victory with my new friends and teammates. I look forward to making many more memories with NSA!!!!

1. Winning the Championships
2. Meeting people from all over the west coast (which I became friends with)
3. Scoring a goal!!
Thanks Fred and all the rest of the coaches, Megan Rescigno

There are so many great moments from the weekend but here are my top three. Meeting and getting to know all the parents and kids on both teams. Watching the kids celebrate when they won the U11 Championship with the awards ceremony etc, and finally watching Mackenzie, Megan and Mikayla shove a huge piece of pizza in their mouths without getting it all over them!
Thanks to you and all the coaches for a great weekend…We are so looking forward to Europe!
