National Soccer Academy is affiliated nationally with U.S. Club Soccer.

Why Join NSA?
Founded in 1992, NSA has a history of providing excellent training and programs for soccer players. NSA is directed by USSF “A” licensed coaches who are excellent Teachers of the game. Operating under the motto “Strive for Excellence, Enjoy the Process, Good Results will follow”,   past NSA players have gained valuable life experiences through the training and soccer tours, while winning many major National and International championships.

For youth players,
“SOCCER IS NOT LIFE … SOCCER is a game that is part of life”.

We encourage young players (15 and under) to participate in multiple sports and not be“pigeon holed” at a young age.
The Program
NSA has created and continues to promote the philosophy that for optimal youth soccer development the amount of time a player spends on soccer should be divided approximately
“65% “Play”, 30%-35% “Training”; 5% –10% “Performance”.

NSA’s programs are for a limited number of boys and girls ages 9 – 17.
NSA provides highly experienced TEACHERS of the game to work with your children.

TRAINING:
Depending on the location (CA, NV, HI, CO ), the schedule will be different. Please check the NSA calendar for scheduled training.

PLAYING:
NSA players will participate in  scrimmages , Soccer Festivals and  7v7 tournaments.

PERFORMANCE:
NSA will participate in several major National and International tournament tours annually.

All registered players are welcome to train and, participate in Soccer Festivals and 7v7 tournaments. Only selected players will participate in NSA Tournament teams.

NSA encourages players to join teams to participate in local leagues and stay in soccer shape.
NSA will never impose rules to stop your children from participating in other sports or other soccer programs. It is your choice.

Location:
NSA has a Club House and private soccer fields in Davis, CA. Training sessions will be held at NSA or at fields arranged by local contacts in various areas.
Who are the families most likely to join NSA?
Children come with different abilities and interests. Usually from a fairly early age a child shows an interest and an ability to participate in sports. Such a child will watch one or several sports on television taking a real interest in the game and the players. He or she will learn the rules, observe the skills and try to emulate the players. He or she will spend time on their own and with their friends playing the game in the yard, park or school grounds. He or she will ask their parents to play with them and will want some sort of competition. He or she will enjoy practicing the skills needed to be successful in the sport and be eager and excited about competition.

If you have such a child whose interest is soccer, then you are a family most likely to join NSA. The NSA program promotes and encourages young players to improve their soccer skills in a fun, low-pressure environment. Children are are already competitive and, at times, need to relax and enjoy the beauty of the sport. There is no need to push these children to be overly competitive.

Joining NSA is a family commitment. There are commitments of both time and costs that the parents and other family members must be willing to make. To succeed the child that joins NSA needs the full support of his or her family.With this support the child can reach their full soccer potential…. and have a fun experience on the way!

NSA provides Age & Skill Level Appropriate Training
Player selections for future tournament teams are ongoing.
